When planes were a rarity

Aeroplane visit

Considerable stir was caused on Saturday morning last when it became known that an aeroplane was approaching in the direction of the village.  Numerous people gathered and interestedly watched its progress.  It very soon passed from view however, going off in the direction of Bathgate.
