I do not remember the rock but I have clear memories of running very fast through Willie Shipley's Close in Addiewell, we were terrified of it. There was no reason for this fear that I can remember.

The girl on the right of the photo is another Auntie, Auntie Lizzie Kane, later Murray, when she married Jimmy Murray. The child in the photo is a neice of the two girls, Jean Mcauley.

There is a huge boulder lying near the entrance to the (now closed) recycling centre, on the east side of the prison which looks very much like the one in the picture.

The lady on the right looks familiar, I'm sure she was a friend of my grandmother Bridget (Biddy) O'Rourke.
