Addiewell Church Woman's Guild

Ladies (and gents) of the Guild

Mrs Mary Wilson kindly allowed us to copy these two photographs of the Addiewell Parish Church Woman's Guild.
The first one seems to show a function of some sort - maybe a pensioners' treat?  Probably the 1960s?
The second photo shows a 'mock wedding', enacted by the Guild ladies - some of them dressed up as men!   Probably in the 1950s.
If you can identify any of the people, add their names.

In the top photo I only recognize Mrs Pennykid. Second one down on the extreme left and May Robertson in the bottom one she has on the floppy hat on the left. I hope I am right but I would like to know them all.

Almost sure but if anyone thinks it's wrong please add a comment. At the front is Mrs. Molly Wilson who played the organ in the church. Behind her is my es sister- in- law Martha Davidson, this places the picture in the early sixties as she only came to the village in 1960. Behind her I agree with Catherine, it's May Robinson. Next, pretty sure it's Mrs Wilson from Meadowhead Place. The bridegroom I think is one of the Bruce girls. And next to her yet another Mrs Wilson, mother of Peter. The faces are all familiar but I can't put the names to them. It's frustrating.

In the top photo, second from the right, is my granny, Annie Hughes. I'd love to hear any memories of her. Her son, Arthur Hughes now lives in Kirkcaldy.
